Foundation students of Pimlico High - 59’ers Class Photo:
"Foundation students of Pimlico High are to gather for a group photo on Saturday 31st January, possibly at the school, at 1pm. This photo will appear in the Jubilee Magazine. It will also be a chance to catch up with old school mates who many haven't seen since the 25th Jubilee.
If you can make it please contact Jean Iverson (Kefford) on 47793405 before 22nd January. Out of town 59ers will not miss out as they can forward a current photograph so that it can be shown along with the group. Please phone 47793405 to arrange mailing details or email to info.pimlicojubilee.com
We are looking forward to having a large Roll Call for the photo shoot"

What is an Alumni?
I am often asked, “What is an Alumni” ? An alumni association is an association of graduates or, more broadly, of former students. In some countries, students/graduates often form groups with alumni from the same organization. These associations often organize social events, publish newsletters or magazines, and raise funds for the organization.
For our purposes, I am gathering names to start an Alumnus for Pimlico High as a tool for groups to seek information should they be organizing a reunion for example. As you may have read on the Pimlico Jubilee website, Pimlico High had a major fire that destroyed most of the Admin block in 1982. For this reason alone it is important to be able to re gather information that may have been lost in this devastating event. - Jane Cairns

Memorial to Trevor Sugars:
I have had a few enquiries, mainly from our first year past students, as to the memorial plaque that they placed on a tree in the school grounds as a lasting tribute to a fellow student, Mr Trevor Sugars. I have located the plaque and was told that it was shifted from its original place of rest because of the driveway and parking spaces that have been added to the grounds over the years. I can report that the plaque is very worn and weather beaten, but gladly, still in a prominent, shaded spot in the school grounds near to the original resting place. I will be making enquiries as to whether we can have the plaque restored and possibly re-laid by the 1959 past students who will be attending the OPEN DAY in May. I’ll keep you posted! - Jane Cairns

Searching for all Sports Stars:
Glen Buchanan, Gordon Tallis, Mitchell Johnson and Jarrod Bannister are just some of the former Pimlico students who have gone on to excel in their chosen sport.
As part of our 50th Jubilee celebrations we are looking to recognise as many former Pimlico students as possible who have gone on to excel in their sporting endeavours.
Are you or do you know of someone who fits this category? If so, it would greatly assist our Jubilee celebrations if you could pass this information on to the school by contacting Peter Searle on 47 593 482 or email psear4@eq.edu.au with details of the athlete. Photos would be greatly appreciated.
